Michael Nevarez is Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). He has Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Nursing, and is also a Doctor of Nursing Practice. He worked for 8 years as an inpatient psychiatric nurse with the children, adolescent, and adult population before becoming a PMHNP.
Michael’s specialties include treatment of depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, and ADHD.
Connecting with patients and developing a therapeutic alliance is central to any provider-patient relationship, and Michael tries to establish this early in the treatment process. Helping patients become the best version of themselves through awareness, understanding, and development or reinforcement of values are what drives his approach to mental wellness.
On his free time, Michael enjoys trying new food, watching movies, traveling, and spending time with his family.
