About Kenneth Jones, LMFT,

Kenneth Jones, LMFT, is a practiced and licensed marriage and family therapist at Zeam Medical Group. From two office locations in Roseville and Folsom, California, Kenneth provides client-centered and evidence-based care to all his patients.

An LMFT since 1987, Kenneth, who also goes by “Ken,” has provided individual, family, and group therapy to adolescents and adults in outpatient, academic, residential, medical, clinic, hospital, and correctional facilities.

He specializes in addictions (alcohol, drugs, love, sex), adult children of alcoholic families, adult children of divorced families, adult children of dysfunctional families, aviophobia (fear of flying), grief and loss, life transitions, marriage, family and relationship issues, mood and psychotic disorders, self-concept and esteem issues, trauma, and geriatrics. 

Kenneth has taught, trained, and supervised clinicians. He has provided testimony before State of California legislative committees addressing the needs of runaway children and their families. He has provided education and training to multiple governmental bodies, community organizations, and the Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration.

Clients and colleagues describe Kenneth as kind, caring, gentle, thoughtful, calm, supportive, and attentive. His treatment approach employs the highest quality of cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, and family system therapies, often coupled with client-appropriate psycho-education that may include biographies, novels, workbooks, or movies.

Kenneth is passionate about his treatment philosophy. He believes that a person enters therapy to relieve emotional suffering that has existed for several years and has had a painful impact on the patient’s life. 

Sometimes therapy begins under duress, at the direction and control of the family, a spouse, an employer, or the court. Therapy is a journey of telling one’s story, discovery, and healing, including setting and achieving therapeutic goals.

Kenneth understands that the therapist’s role is to assist, walk alongside, and not direct or lead clients through their journey to achieve their desired goals.
