Jesse provides a warm, integrative, holistic trauma-informed approach to psychotherapy. Her goal is to help patients tap into their own intuitive wisdom, innate in us all, to create and foster deep healing and change. She aims to provide an environment of safety, comfort, compassion, and attunement for individuals and couples to explore the deepest part of themselves that need healing. She works actively and collaboratively from a strength-based perspective to help individuals and couples achieve long-term healing by understanding the roots of their problematic dynamics, then guiding them to make changes into new ways of being in relationships. She helps individuals and couples create new narratives for their lives, often resulting in a newfound sense of meaning, purpose, and connection.
A spiritual awakening early in her adult life allowed Jesse to understand the sanctity that connects all beings, the beauty and universal truths in all religions, and that deep healing is a multifaceted approach. Her own healing journey has involved many years of depth psychotherapy, group therapy, spiritual practices, meditation, work, and therapeutic expanded consciousness journeys with psychedelics. She knows first-hand the vulnerability and courage it takes to seek help and guidance, and is honored to work with patients in their own healing processes.
With an extensive background and training in depth-oriented psychotherapy and Psychedelic Assisted Therapy, Jesse aims to help individuals and couples get at the deepest roots of their suffering to deeply understand and then transform them. This may involve exploring family of origin conditioning from childhood, understanding dysfunctional patterns and habits in the safe space of therapy, dream and symbol work, and examining the influence of cultural, societal and systemic factors on individuals and couples. A dedicated life-long learner, she continues to grow and evolve each day as a person and clinician.Â
A Jazz aficionado, Jesse is the host of the podcast “Jazz Therapy,” and believes jazz is the best music on the planet. In her free time, you can find her spending time with family and friends, working out, hiking, cooking and baking, reading, going to the theater, and, of course, listening to jazz.
Jesse is a graduate of the Child Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program (CPTP) and the adult Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training Program (PTPP), both from the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis. Additionally, she is a graduate of the Group Psychotherapy Training Program, specializing in Psychodynamic Group Therapy, from The Psychotherapy Institute in Berkeley, CA. She has extensive experience in TF-CBT including training therapists in TF-CBT.Â
